Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Ribbon Cutting

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College held a ribbon cutting on Thursday for their new Student Success Center.  This newly renovated space ties together key services and provides multiple resources for students.  Congratulations to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and project architect Somerville on this wonderful project!

La Crosse Regional Airport Phase 1 Completion

The La Crosse Regional Airport opened the first phase of their Terminal Rehabilitation Project this week.  Passengers will be benefit from expanded checkpoints and screening areas, new restaurants and vending, and better amenities such as Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and children's activity area.

Thank you to all who have worked so hard to complete this first step of an exciting project!

Immel New Staff

Jamie Blom, Business Development, has joined Immel Construction.  Jamie brings with him a successful record of commercial construction project sales in retail, office, industrial, and multi-family markets. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Jamie lives in Howard, WI with his wife and three children.

City of Weyauwega Municipal Building Ground Breaking

We are excited to announce that the City of Weyauwega will be holding a ceremonial groundbreaking event this week for their new Municipal Building Project, which consists of renovations for city hall, the police department, and municipal offices.   The groundbreaking will be held on Monday August 3rd at 6:00pm at the City Hall, 109 E. Main Street.

Congratulations to the City of Weyauwega and project architect Cedar Corporation on this exciting renovation!

Immel New Staff

Kevin Duffy has joined Immel as a Senior Project Manager.  A construction professional with over 18 years of experience, Kevin's expertise includes the new construction and renovation of government, corporate/professional, commercial, senior care, educational, medical, religious, industrial, and retail facilities. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Kevin is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional.

Alan Swanson has taken a position as Project Manager at Immel.  Alan is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a degree in Construction Management.  Alan has been involved with commercial projects in Health Care, Education, Financial Services, and Assisted Living Facilities. In addition to daily project management responsibilities, Alan's role will include assistance in estimating, scheduling, subcontractor selection and approvals, approving and negotiating contracts with the owner, and project closeout.

Joe Graney, Senior Estimator for Immel Construction, has been honored as a Lifetime Certified Professional Estimator by the American Society of Professional Estimators.  ASPE Certification is the highest form of professional recognition an individual estimator can receive, and lifetime certification recognizes a long career of estimating proficiency.

AGC "Build Wisconsin Award"

St. Norbert College was recently honored with a "Build Wisconsin Award" for the Cassandra Voss Center in DePere, WI. The award was presented to Immel Construction by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). Cassandra Voss was an extraordinary young woman who lost her life in a tragic car accident in May 2007. The renovation of this 1883 building seeks to honor Cassandra's spirit and includes space for the Women and Gender Studies discipline, the Joan P. Schaupp Women's Center, the Men's Center, and various student amenities, including classroom and eating space, and faculty offices.

Congratulations to St. Norbert College and the project architect Performa on this inspiring renovation!

Immel New Hires

Curt Nushart

Immel Construction is excited to announce the addition of Curt Nushart in the role of Project Manager for our Maintenance and Industrial Accounts. He will be responsible for estimating, project management and development of maintenance and industrial accounts.  He comes with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and is a member of the Wisconsin Carpenters as Millwright Journeyman.
